Rime of the Modern Animal

Woken up with the ringing of the alarm clock,

Mr. Zebra with his Moto X started for the Wi-Fi dock,

He sat there and started tweeting,

Then he remembered he had to attend a meeting.

He booked a cab using the Ola app,

Where his location was shown on a map.

He soon reached the Microsoft Headquarters,

Where his colleagues were discussing several matters.

Mr. Zebra soon showed to them, his presentation,

Which was about how to boost internet connectivity in the nation.

The meeting ended soon,

When it was just about noon.

Then, he ordered lunch through Pizza- Hut,

Which was an apple pie with hazelnut.

After lunch, he sat in his office,

And played on Quizup where he was a novice.

Then he updated his Facebook account,

Where he had received more messages he could count.

He then opened Whatsapp,

To change his status to ‘Taking a short nap’.

Though he received numerous notifications, 

in his sleep he soared,This was because he had kept his phone on silent mode.

He woke up and decided to work for a while,

But realized he wasn’t as agile.

So, he decided to have some fun,

And play the game ‘Temple Run’.

All this while, his boss was standing behind where he sat,

And posted Mr. Zebra’s crazy pics on Snapchat.

Soon it was time to leave,

But Mr. Zebra couldn’t believe,

How he could manage another day,

Without doing much work anyway.

He soon reached his apartment,

And checked his phone to check a message which his boss had sent.

He laughed and laughed and laughed,

Until he realized it was him who was photographed.

Mr. Zebra worked hard from the next day,

All thanks to his boss, is what his colleagues say!
