Captivating Kochi

Kochi is the city where I was born,
it looks beautiful, be it at Dusk or at dawn.

The numerous streets and bylanes of Fort Kochi,
Remind us of the past, as we walk by the sea.

Mattanchery boasts of a very rich heritage,
And houses the Jewish Synagogue which dates back to the Yehudan age.

Panampilly Nagar houses the main railway station,
Locals call it 'South' instead of Ernakulam Junction.

Maharaja's College is where the Metro starts,
While MG Road is quite famous for its malls and marts.

Ravipuram is one of the wealthiest localities in Kochi's heart,
Many malls and educational institutions are located in this part.

Tripunithura and Maradu are in the southern suburbs of the city,
And are famous for the hill palace, temples and many a deity.

Kakkanad is famous for its numerous high-rises,
While for a foodie, Thevara has many delights and prizes.

Kaloor can be termed the city's 'Downtown',
The JLN stadium is a jewel in its crown.

Edapally is famous for the LuLu Mall,
Among all Indian malls, it's the largest of them all.

Vytilla has the mobility hub, where all modes converge,
On holidays, Marine Drive is where there's a huge crowd surge.

Kadavanthra has one of the busiest intersections of the city,
It also has many hotels and bank branches in its kitty.

Pallikkara, at the end of the city, is famous for Wonder La,
Aluva's the only part from where the Airport isn't too far.

With this, I end my muse on the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea',
The city would always be in my heart and remind me of churches, spices and tea.
